Paper Boat
Creative and simple artwork that symbolizes the bond between the river and the city. It’s placed in the roundabaout of Avenida de la Costa and Avenida Francia in Puerto Norte.
This sculpture was built by local architects Gustavo Augsburger and Daniel Kosik who received the award “Premio Arnet a Cielo Abierto 2012”. It is 10 m long, 5.60 m wide and 5.60 high. Entirely built in metal, this sculpture is supported by a tubular structure covered with corrugated iron. The Paper Boat stands as a symbol of the bond between the river and this riverside area, with a past characterized by the port, industries and cereal, and a present of booming urban transformation.
